How to record a capital injection/inflow into the business.

What is capital?

In accounting, the capital account is also known as owner's equity for a sole proprietorship or shareholders' equity for a corporation. It shows the total value of the owner's investment in the business. 

A business's capital usually grows through owners' investment or retained/reinvested profit.

How to record a capital injection/inflow into the business

1. Click on Add New Record

2. Select transaction type> Inflow

3. From the drop-down, click "Capital"

4. Enter the "Investors Name" or Create a New Customer

5. Enter Description

6. Enter the Amount of capital being invested and, the current Date is loaded by default but you can edit it.

7. Click on Create Transaction

8. Select the mode of payment > Cash or bank 

   -If it is a bank payment, select the bank(Eco bank, Uba) and input the amount paid.

   -If it is a cash payment< click on Cash, and input the amount paid.

9. Click on Add Transactions

10. Transaction Created Successfully
